Connecting QueryRush to BigQuery
This guide will walk you through the process of connecting QueryRush to your Google BigQuery account.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A Google Cloud Platform account with BigQuery enabled
- Appropriate permissions to access the BigQuery datasets you want to analyze
- Your GA4 data connected to BigQuery, through the GA4 admin
Step 1: Within QueryRush Navigate to Connections
After logging in, click on the "Connections" link in the navigation menu. This will take you to the connections page where you can manage your data sources.
Step 2: Authorize Google BigQuery
Click on the "Connect to BigQuery" button. This will redirect you to Google's authorization page where you'll be asked to grant QueryRush permission to access your BigQuery data.
Review the permissions requested and click "Allow" to proceed.
Step 3: Select a Project
After authorization, you'll be prompted to select a Google Cloud Project. Choose the project that contains the BigQuery datasets you want to analyze.
Step 4: Select Datasets
Once you've selected a project, you'll see a list of available datasets. Select the datasets you want to make available for analysis in QueryRush.
Step 5: Verify Connection
After selecting your datasets, QueryRush will fetch the table schemas and verify the connection. This may take a few moments depending on the number and size of the datasets you've selected.
Once the verification is complete, you'll see a list of the tables that are now available for analysis.

If you encounter any issues during the connection process, check the following:
- Make sure you have the necessary permissions in Google Cloud Platform
- Verify that the datasets you're trying to access exist in the selected project
